>> THE ENERGETIC PROBLEM
BUILDINGS ENERGETIC CERTIFICATION
According to the European Union requirements, beginning from 2006 the evaluation of the thermal quality of buildings will become obligatory. The purpose of certifying the energetic efficiency is to evaluate its consuming effectiveness and to give an owner recommendations for improvement. Energy effectiveness means the amount of energy for one square meter of floor per year, necessary for normal functioning of a building. The less the figure, the more effectively the energy is consumed. Hence two conclusions: 1) the Lithuanian State is interested in improving the quality of the buildings and the foreign trade balance buying less fuel, therefore it supports the certifying; 2) the user of a living space must know if the condition of a building is thermally good or bad, while a buyer - how much he will have to pay for warming, so it is useful for him to get reliable information about his future expenses. So, the energetic certificate will have direct influence on the costs of a living space, and this should be important to clients, as well as to possible buyers and dwellers.
